Low resistivity usually means more conductive ground such as clay, saline water, weathered/fractured saturated zones, or metal-rich material. High resistivity usually means dry, compact, fresh, or crystalline material. Interpretation still needs geology and QC context.
WHAT SENSITIVITY MEANS
Sensitivity shows where the survey measurements actually constrain the model. Bright/high areas are better supported by the electrode geometry; dark/low areas are less reliable and should be interpreted carefully.
SURVEY LINES
Each line keeps its detected spacing and geometry.
Smoothness-constrained inversion with log resistivity is recommended for most surveys. Robust/blocky selects a genuine IRLS (L1-norm) reweighting of both the data misfit and the model roughness.
